We sent a solid group of NEU members and activists to this march in Central London. Fascist Islamophobe Tommy Robinson was mobilising in central London, but the whole of the antiracist and Palestine movement was there to oppose him. The fight goes on!

Hundreds of LGBT+ educators gathered in Birmingham to share experiences, shape union policy, learn from each other and build community. Tower Hamlets & the City NEU sent a delegation and moved a motion calling for the LGBT+ community to oppose the far right, which was then chosen as the LGBT+ motion to be discussed at Annual Conference!
If you’d like to know more or would like to be considered for future conferences email our Equalities Officer Rae Garvin at rachael.garvin@neu.org.uk
London Weekend is a residential weekend held at the View Hotel, Eastbourne, and open to any London members to apply via the District and targeted towards members who want to get more active within the union, with loads of workshops across three key strands: International, Equalities, and Industrial.
Express your interest for next year’s one by emailing rosie.bond@neu.org.uk! Each District has only 5 places.
The special conference was to discuss only one issue; the NEU’s approach to support staff representation and outlining a strategic direction, including the possibility of active recruitment. This has now passed and has become part of our NEU policies.

The NEU uses Black in a political context to encompass “all members who self-identify as Black, Asian and any other minority ethnic groups who do not identify themselves as white“.

A great family event in Victoria Park!
